وأنتَ تُعِدُّ فطورك، فكِّر بغيركَ
When you prepare your breakfast.. Think about others
لا تنسَ قوتَ الحمــام
Don't forget the pigeons food.
وأنتَ تخوضُ حروبكَ، فكِّر بغيركَ
لا تنس مَنْ يطلبون السلام
When you enter your wars, think about others
Don't forget who demands peace


وأنتَ تسدد فاتورةَ الماء، فكِّر بغيركَ
When you pay the water bill, think about others
مَنْ يرضَعُون الغمامٍ
Who suckle the hail...
وأنتَ تعودُ إلى البيت، بيتكَ، فكِّر بغيركَ
When you return to home, your home, think about others
لا تنس شعب الخيام
Don't forget the tents peopleْ

وأنت تنام وتُحصي الكواكبَ، فكِّر بغيرك
When you sleep and count the stars, think about others
ثمّةَ مَنْ لم يجد حيّزاً للمنام
There are who didn't found space to sleep
وأنت تحرّر نفسك بالاستعارات، فكِّر بغيركَ
When you release your self by metaphors, think about others
مَنْ فقدوا حقَّهم في الكلام
Who lost their right to talk..

وأنت تفكر بالآخرين البعيدين، فكِّر بنفسك
When you think about others, distant… Think about your self
قُلْ: ليتني شمعةُ في الظلام
And say: I wish that i'm a candle in the dark
